AUSTIN, Texas and ROCHESTER, New York (September 28, 2021) New York State Electric & Gas (NYSEG), Rochester Gas and Electric (RG&E) and CLEAResult have partnered to launch a first-of-its-kind fleet electrification management (FEM) pilot program. The program will be piloted at NYSEG and RG&E, subsidiaries of AVANGRID, Inc.

Electric utilities were some of the first businesses to begin electrifying their fleets, with more than 70 announcing commitments as early as 2014.¹ More recently, major international fleet operators like Amazon and UPS have announced aggressive targets and committed major investments to vehicles and charging. These early adopters have helped to illustrate the promise of fleet electrification, spanning cost savings, emissions reductions, and improved working conditions.

AUSTIN, Texas – June 10, 2021 – CLEAResult, a leading provider of technology-enabled energy efficiency programs for utilities, today announced the appointment of Rich McBee as Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6, 2021. Mr. McBee will also join the company's Board of Directors.

In today’s energy efficiency market, there’s a fairly limited range of approaches to connecting customers with the products they need to save energy. Typically, these approaches incorporate an online storefront of some form and sometimes an instant rebate tool — but all too often, that's where it ends.

In many localities across our industry, fossil fuels are being phased out in favor of renewables. This transition, while in many ways positive, has created additional grid strain during peak hours and high-usage windows. On top of that, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to work around aging energy infrastructure unequipped to handle challenges such as severe weather or increasing consumer demand for things like EV charging. Regulatory pressures, such as those related to decarbonization goals and transition to renewables, are also be a contributing factor.

Since 2017, CLEAResult has supported electric vehicle (EV) adoption through various program models—from outreach and education, to incentive programs targeting vehicles and managed charging. Our work on these programs spans numerous states, coast-to-coast. Most of what this whitepaper focuses on is based on our experience in Arizona and California, where our programs have deployed EV charging infrastructure (EVCI) to public, workplace, and multifamily sites.
